I Always Have A Kombucha Near Me As I Do These 6 Best Healthy Activities for Fitness-Minded Travellers
Whether you’re into yoga, rock climbing, or surfing (yes, we have surf here on the island!), Phuket has some super-healthy activities for everyone (including always having Thailand’s best healthy kombucha near me and you as we do them!)
So Phuket – being the largest island in Thailand – is known for its stunning beaches with gin-clear warm water, vibrant nightlife, and its delicious street food. But did you know that this tropical paradise also offers a heap of healthy activities for travellers like you who want to stay fit and active on their holiday, rather than chill on a beach all day?
So I work for KombuchaWOW! We’re island’s OG kombucha brewery – offering raw and sparkling kombucha to high-end hotels, restaurants, cafes, and gyms all over the island. We’re based in Chalong and we’re totally dedicated to promoting healthy living and sustainability in Phuket. We live here, we work here and we love Phuket: It’s my home and I’m always excited telling people like you about what do do here, when to do it – and of course, answering people when they ask if there is kombucha near me? Yes. Yes there is!
Anyway, here is my guide to ten of the best healthy activities to do on the island, along with travel times by taxi and your own scooter, and costs from KombuchaWOW! to each location, as well as weather conditions, pricing, and languages they can speak – oh, and how busy they can be at various times of year. Hope it helps you find an activity to crack on with!
- Yoga at Blissful Yogis
One of the best things to do on the island, is yoga. I’m not a yoga bloke – or at least I never thought I was. Until I actually did it. Then I was hooked: It chilled me down from my daily work as Head Brewer at our Phuket kombucha brewery (yes, making sparkling raw kombucha does get stressful, believe it or not!). Blissful Yogis is the perfect place to find your serenity. Located just 10 minutes away by taxi from KombuchaWOW, this stunning yoga studio offers a variety of yoga classes to suit all skill levels. With knowledgeable instructors, a tranquil chill environment, and a stunning setting, you are guaranteed to leave Blissful Yogis feeling refreshed and revitalised. Did I mention chill?
From challenging classes for experienced yogis to introductory classes for beginners, there is something for everyone. Classes start at THB 350 for a single session, and multi-class packs come with discounted rates. Check the class schedule and book your spot through their website.

- Paddle Boarding at Phuket SUP
Now I’ve not done this yet myself, but a lot of my friends on the island have. It’s on my To Do List, ok? It’s one of the best ways to discover Phuket’s breathtaking coastline in a fun and healthy way – and Phuket SUP is the company my friends recommend to me. They offer stand-up paddle boarding lessons and tours suitable for paddlers of all levels, from beginners (me!) to experts.
Instructors at Phuket SUP are highly experienced and lessons start at THB 1,500 for a 2-hour session. If you prefer a guided tour, they have options that range from 2 to 4 hours and take you to some of the most picturesque locations in Phuket, with prices starting at THB 1,800. - Rock Climbing at Vertical Madness Phuket
For those who love the thrill of scaling new heights as they don’t shit their pants, rock climbing is a must-try activity in Phuket. Vertical Madness Phuket offers indoor and outdoor climbing experiences with climbs suitable for beginners and experienced climbers alike. I’ll grudgingly do it, simply because I really want to, but know I’m going to find muscles I didn’t know I have, so I’ll go to work at our Phuket kombucha brewery and walk like John Wayne I guess.. Anyway, with their professional guides, state-of-the-art equipment and challenging routes, this is the perfect place to push your limits and get your adrenaline pumping. Another chance to soak in the breathtaking views of Phuket from the water with a kayaking experience at John-Suwan Viewpoint. Paddle along the stunning coastline and through the lush mangroves, keeping an eye out for local wildlife along the way. We even have crocodile sightings every so often, although we mainly say this to tourists to give a sense of danger I think! This is a great way to get some upper body exercise and explore the island in a unique way.

- Surfing at Rawai Beach
Something something surfs up dude something. Yeah, we got waves at Rawai Beach – one of the best surf destinations on Phuket Island, with its warm waters and consistent waves. It’s not for Big Wave Riders or anyone who goes to G-Land, know what I mean? But, Rawai Beach is ideal for surfers of all skill levels as a great Phuket spot.
To reach Rawai Beach from KombuchaWOW, you can either take a taxi, which will take around 25 minutes and cost approximately 300 THB, or rent a scooter and make the journey in about 15 minutes.
Total beginner? Well, one of the leading surf schools in the area is Surf House Phuket, located at 6/6 Moo 6, Viset Road, Rawai, Muang, Phuket, 83130. They offer beginner and intermediate surf lessons, as well as board and wetsuit rentals. You can contact Surf House Phuket by phone at +66 76 289315 or through their website at https://surfhousephuket.com/. They have multilingual staff, who speak English, French, and Spanish, to assist tourists.
Phuket experiences temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C year-round, with the rainy season taking place from May to October. The best time to surf at Rawai Beach is from November to April, when the water is warm and the waves are consistent. During peak tourist season, the beach can become quite crowded, so it’s recommended to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds.
So What You Waiting For? Choose An Activity!
In this article, I wanted to write about all the activities that are easily accessible from our KombuchaWOW! Phuket kombucha brewery – with taxi and scooter rides ranging from 20 minutes to an hour. Phuket traffic can be a total unpredictable beast sometimes, so during peak season you can add at least 50% more travel time if in a car. Obviously if I’m in a car like you, I’ll always have a bottle of our kombucha near me!
Phuket offers plenty of opportunities for a healthy and active lifestyle for tourists seeking something more than beach loafing (although nothing wrong with that too!).
The island is home to my KombuchaWOW! Phuket kombucha brewery, which offers sparkling raw kombucha found at high-end hotels, restaurants, cafes, and gyms. You’re going to find our kombucha near me if I’m there rock climbing, or taking my yoga class with you!
Don’t forget that when you’re choosing a place or activity – make sure you’re practicing your wellness with sustainability at the forefront of your mind. We have one planet, and plastic water bottles kill everything – including our own health.
Anyway, I don’t want to be preachy, I want to see you here on the island enjoying yourself – holding one of our bottles of ice-cold KombuchaWOW! obviously!
